Hi unfortunately I'm comparing the visor to another I use and it rubs my forehead a lot where the other has a soft surface. Found the strap at back difficult to get correct tension

I love everything about tailwind. From the product to the people the attention to detail is always spot on. Running ultras this is important to me. I often have conversations with myself about what kit to pack depending on the race and terrain. I never question my hydration. Keep up the great work. Thank you. JR
Multipack takes the pain out of choosing..

I recently ran Race to the Stones, using Tailwind for the first time. Having heard of the brand from Dan Lawson, I went on the website and had a read.
As someone with gastro problems, I was particularly keen on the 'no gut bomb' claim, and as a hater of gels, the prospect of a drink containing everything you need in drink form really appealed- particularly the 'naked' flavour- which is a refreshing change to the norm.
Come race day- I was excited to set off with my tailwind and had planned my nutrition strategy. All went well to 25k until sadly I got my tummy problems again and spent the rest of the race on diarolyte in one bottle and tailwind in the other..
So I can't give a proper feedback until I've tried it properly and my tummy's not let me down, but I loved the taste (mandarin good too) love the hype, packaging was easy and hand written good luck note a nice touch, and postage and packing spot on!
Have Salisbury 50km next month, so hoping to use my remaining packs then and to give a better review after that.. impressed with what I had so far though!
Super Service and Product!!

I tried a sample from a friend recently and had to get my own supply. This stuff is great. I have always suffer fatigue after 3 hours and I've tried everything but it never helped. Tailwind worked! Tailwind is the only product I have tried that keeps me going all day. Great service also!

Well, I gave Tailwind a whirl after unsatisfactory trials with gels (which were sticky, bad tasting and upset the old digestive system) and thus far I'm really pleased.
Tastes are more subtle than your average sports drink, and didn't coat the mouth as some do. Kept me energised and hydrated on my Sunday long run - going to work into my running schedule and use in marathon in September. Didn't feel the need to gorge on drink/food post-run, which is a good sign.
I suppose if there's a single downside, it's that the nature of powders means you've got to either pre-load bottles you intend to carry or get good at putting powder in course water. This is less of an issue at ultra events.

When I first heard of Tailwind, I put it in the spam folder of my mind with the rest of the magical products out there on the market; but word of mouth (podcasts & twitter actually!) can bring even the most cynical of consumers around. And so it was with me.
Before I get into the product, let me wax lyrical for a moment about the customer service. Hands down, this is the no.1 for customer service. From the friendly advice on twitter to the hand written note with encouragement for my next race enclosed in my first order, you really can't fault the guys. Added to the swift delivery and the free soft flask I got with my order, it's been a great experience.
Right, so let's get to the juicy bit: the product!
I usually suffer headaches after a long run, it's part and parcel of what I've come to accept. After a hilly 20 miler on a very hot day, fuelled on Tailwind, I was totally fine!! Extra special considering I ran out on mile 15!
The taste is light and refreshing, not sickly sweet like most other products on the market. It's like water with a hint of fruit in my opinion, so you can keep drinking all day without getting sick of it. It also mixes tremendously easy which means it washes easily too! Bonus!
And the big winner over other drinks/gels is that it doesn't go all sticky!!
All in all, Tailwind have a new loyal customer and I have a new brilliant product!

Fantastic product. I used this for Race to the Stones and didn't need much else. performance maintained throughout the day and felt strong and focussed.
I'll be ordering some more for UTMB!

After being recommended Tailwind by a friend, due to me constantly 'forgetting' to take on nutrition (gels/bars etc) at regular intervals during rides and then almost hitting the wall, I thought I'd give it a try.
Can't recommend it highly enough. small regular sips is all I needed on my last sportive with no side effects. Pleasant, subtle taste and excellent customer service. Will definitely be ordering more when current supplies run low.

After years of using a combination of gels, energy bars and isotonic drinks to fuel my long runs, an ultra runner friend suggested I gave Tailwind a go. Ordered my first bag a couple of weeks ago, it was delivered promptly and the personalised hand written card which came with it was a nice touch. I have now completed two 21 mile training runs using only Tailwind and I'm never going back to the 'combo' I used to use. I run with a Camelbak which makes Tailwind ideal. It mixes very easily with water, tastes fine (I ordered lemon) and I had none of the stomach/gut 'issues' you often get with gels and bars. My strategy was a mouthful every mile, so much easier than rooting around for a gel or bar and then having to try and open the packaging whilst keeping the pace going. I'm so confident in Tailwind based on my initial experience that I will run my next race (Fort William marathon on 30/7) using Tailwind alone. A well fuelled runner is a happy runner 😀

My husband is using in conjunction with heavy manual work and is finding energy levels sustained throughout the day. I will be using this also for my marathon training.

Cannot recommend this product enough. Did the Race to the Stones last weekend and ran for nearly 13 hours on just Tailwind (and a couple of glasses of flat coke and some Watermelon late on) and had no issues. Really does take all the stress and hassle out of planning your food and drink strategy. Doing the Thames Path 100 next year and I believe they have pre made up Tailwind drink at the aid stations so perfect for me!

You're travelling to a race and the big pouch isn't so easy to transport! Never fear! Stick packs are here!! No mess, easy to transport!
Tuesday, 18 July 2017 | Hester
I can't take gels - they make me really poorly... and you know how I mean. It's not a good thought when you're powering yourself over 140.6 miles!
Tailwind has changed all that - gentle on the stomach and easy to drink. No horrible flavours etc! Amazing! I'm recommending to everyone
Tuesday, 18 July 2017 | Keith
A perfect easy fuelling fueling system that lets me just concentrate on the running. I like the fact there's only one product, I don't have different confusing powders to take the night or morning before, it's just simple and straightforward. More importantly it does the job and with no gut problems. Great service too guys!

Excellent product and excellent service as usual.
Easy to use and they fit in your pocket when empty.
'think Tailwind makes a real difference..

Regardless of how much Ive tried tinkering with diet / nutrition I'd been prone to horrible hypos. I had bloods taken & these don't indicate a(ny) blood sugar problem but every now & again I'd hit a sudden onset hypo wall; horrible.
I ordered Tailwind as an experiment really, to try to deal with this. And so far - a couple of trial runs in - it's working & has become key to my wee bit of 'kit' needed for long runs. The troops at Tailwind advised 'little & often' - I make sure to have a slug @ every km & that seems to work for me. I'm not fussed on the taste - feels very much like sugars & salts as opposed to 'lemon' or 'berry' or whatever, but I can live with that. I'm v sure it's steadying my levels & enabling me to keep plodding on (for I am v much a 'plodder' For anyone experiencing any kind of body turbulence, Id recommend you give it a go.
Perfect for the long run drop bag
Sunday, 16 July 2017 | Derek
I ran my first 40 mile ultra on Saturday and swithered about what to put in my drop bags. Would Tailwind be enough? In the end I decided best to be cautious so I included jelly babies, banana and a sandwich. After the first 10 miles on nothing but Tailwind I had no hunger pangs so decided to ditch the food. Apart from additional water for hydration, Tailwind got me through the 40 miles perfectly. Having a stick pack in each drop bag made everything so much easier.
Thank you for an amazing product.
Big bag, multiple ultras...

Big fan of Tailwind, having picked this bag after trying the selection pack. To me it's great value, having got me through this years SDW50, NDW50 and Endure 24 (including the training). As I now need to restock for my next set of races, the only question is which flavour next? 👍🏻

Had stomach problems with Powerbar products at Ironman Wales last year. Other members of tri club were using Tailwind so I thought I'd give it a go.
Very mild taste is a big improvement, with no sickness or bloating. Successfully used sachets on a long hot ride, the mixture of nutrition and salts kept me hydrated and fuelled.
Service is spot on too, I will be staying with Tailwind from here on.

Recently started using Tailwind for my training for Ultra and it was my only fuel. It works!!! No pesky side aches or tummy rumbles. I was able to get through a hilly course with plenty of energy.
No enduring sugar/chemical taste, however does get a bit sweet after prolonged use. Maybe that is the flavor I chose (Lemon). Quick to the blood-stream fuel, and very effective whilst training and recovery.
Prompt attention to getting my order out the door and delivered to my house, and nice note with a personal touch. Very impressed so far. Will definitely write a review after my next Ultra Race.
Great looking product and service

I haven't had a chance to use the product yet but I must say very impressed with the service, easy to use website and delivery very quick, packaged well and a lovely little motivational message, I will update when my plan lets me do a long run 😉

A friend introduced me to Tailwind a few months ago before run Eco Trail De Paris 80k and I haven't looked back and now used it again for all my training for the Clydestride 40 miler.
Despatched same day, quick delivery, updated all the way.
Great little touch of hand written note in the box.

Despatched same day, quick delivery, updated all the way. Neat little touch of hand written note in the box.
Got the mandarin orange flavour, very mild, was no problem with gammy taste over 4 hour rides. Seems easy on the stomach and keeps you going.
I'll be back for more when the time comes.

I already love the design and build of this hat. It's really comfortable to wear and very light. Highly recommended and great value at the price!
Monday, 10 July 2017 | Amanda
I've only had a couple of runs with this since getting it last week, but I already love it. It's so light it's brilliant even when it's really hot out, and stays cool and comfortable even after an hour and a half. I am 5'10" tall and got the large size, it's roomy enough (I usually wear a 12 top) and long enough, but if I had one niggle it felt snug across the shoulders when I put it on, but I wasn't aware of any problem whilst running. Colour held after the first wash, and all fine in construction so overall great value and 5 stars - if it holds up I'll be looking to get another...or two!

Cracking product - kept me going with no energy issues during the Pennine 39. Though opening the items to refill during the race was interesting...

I've used tailwind a couple of Times now and i can recommend it. It is not really well known in the Netherlands hopefully this will change shortly
Monday, 10 July 2017 | Matthew
Maybe a little melodramatic but certainly helped me at my last 50K race. The day was much hotter and sunnier than expected and I always over heat so I purchased the visor as it both shaded my face but allowed heat to escape as well.
There was a large number of runners who dropped from both the 50K & 100K with heat issues but with the visor keeping me cool this allowed my race strategy to succeed.
It was a great buy and as always Mike and team did a fantastic job delivering the goods.

I used the Tailwind 2 Serving Stickpacks in my Camelbak for the Velathon 110 cycle ride in Wales and found them to be exactly what I was looking for in a straight forward single source solution for electrolytes and nutrition. Tailwind delivered all of this without any drawbacks. The best thing I have now is the peace of mind it will deliver again.
I would certainly recommend to give this a try it's a step up from multiple forms bars gels etc.
The best I have used for a long time

I have been struggling recently to find a suitable drink supplement for my cycling activities, problems have been caused particularly stomach cramps! My cycling these days is over distances up to 100 miles or so as I am now 78 years of age. I tried Tailwind out yesterday with a ride of 70 miles with a group who are all younger than I and felt comfortable in keeping up with them. The usual stomach cramps did not materialise and I recovered more quickly than usual after finishing the ride. Legs feel good the day afterwards! Will be using Tailwind for my longer solo rides and see how I get on.
Great product, great service
Monday, 10 July 2017 | Robert
I've now been using Tailwind for 2 years on many ultra trail races, both in UK and in Asia. I'm so happy not to have to use yukky gels anymore! two scoops of Tailwind in an hour's worth of water suits me perfectly!
Friday, 7 July 2017 | Alexander
I have really struggled with my nutrition on both ultras and marathons. Couldn't stomach gels and found solid foods really hard to eat. Bought these after reading the reviews and have tried them on a couple of runs. Really impressed with the flavour and my stomach coped with no problems.
Will be using them for the upcoming Scott Snowdonia trail marathon in a couple of weeks and in September I will use them on the Ultra tour of Snowdonia.
Great product and would recommend
Great product for endurance runs

A friend introduced me to Tailwind a few months ago and I haven't looked back. I use it for long runs in varying proportions depending on the length on run and temperature that day. It's been great and tastes good too! I like the fact that it is both calorific and also contains essential salts. I'll be using it in Aug / Sep for the Fire & Ice ultra in Iceland.
Thursday, 6 July 2017 | Wendy
I tried this very last minute for a half ironman after a training session in the heat left me being unable to eat or drink my normal fuel choice. Had a couple of grapes and flapjack during the event, but never felt hungry or lacking in energy. Didn't need any gels.
Non-sticky all day nutrition
Wednesday, 5 July 2017 | Louise
The first time I tried a gel was also my last - not keen to repeat the experience! - so when a friend recommended Tailwind I cautiously gave it a go.
I am a *total* convert and now use it on all my long runs. I hate overly sweet typical sports nutrition so Tailwind is really a game changer. I love the Naked 'flavour' but also haven't yet tried a flavour that I didn't like. No stickiness, no trembly guts and horrid burps, no dry sugary mouth... whilst still giving enough boost to cope with any run. I'll run exclusively with Tailwind for up to half marathon distances (one stickpack does the trick) and add in a flapjack or something for longer runs.
Thanks Tailwind for a great product that people without a sweet tooth can enjoy!
Wednesday, 5 July 2017 | Phil
When I first used tailwind it amazed me how it didn't do anything amazing it just worked and worked really well. The bottle is a bottle, it's nothing special but again it just works, the mouth piece is effortless to use and personally I find it delivers just the right volume per sip
Wednesday, 5 July 2017 | Roderick
First time using Tailwind and first time I've ever got nutrition right in >3hr race. Tasted good, no stomach problem and no crash. Really impressed.
Wednesday, 5 July 2017 | Tamsin
Only tried tailwind once on a run and does exactly what it says!!! Was starting to get a bit of tummy trouble from gels so have been looking for something else!
Fantastically quick dispatch and delivery with a cute personalised note. Thank you

A great alternative to sickly sweet powders and gels - keeps me fuelled for my long bike rides but no issues - will definitely be buying more.
Tuesday, 4 July 2017 | Richard
Brilliant product, fast delivery, ive always suffered on long runs as gels do not agree with me. But with tailwind no issues wish id found it earlier. I will be buying again.
Same great product but in an easy to carry sachet
Tuesday, 4 July 2017 | Paul
I've purchased 2 serving stickpacks as an easy to carry way to refill my bottles during Ride London - Surrey later this month. I'm aiming at one bottle per hour, carrying 2 bottles so the sachets will make it simple to refill at water stops en route, saving time and spillage.
Tailwind has already kept me fuelled on 120 mile rides and I'm confident the stickpacks will work just as well as the 50 serving bags.
Great product, great service

I first used Tailwind when I ran the Centurion North Downs Way 50 miles. It really powered me through - I hardly touched anything else - so I was looking forward to using it in my training.
The customer service is really friendly and personal.
Looking forward to hitting the hills!

My first multiserving bag and I'm happy with it so far, I did a 16 mile run with 2 litres of water and 6 scoops of tailwind berry flavour in my hydration pack sipped every now and again, kept me going never felt thirsty only had a banana to eat so it'll be my go to nutrition on long runs, oh and I love the personal note in my order, makes you feel your not just another number..... Thanks

Tried some that a friend had bought and it was good, bought this and used it in a 70.3 Ironman last weekend on the bike, usually I get off the bike feel bloated and get stomach cramps which makes the run hard going, this time nothing, I got into the run and had not stomach issues, it fuelled me so well on the bike 2 bottles wirh 3 scoops in, never felt farigue, really impressed and so glad to have found this product. Delivery spot on also Thanks you now have a customer for life.

I've only used this product twice so far, but I have been impressed with how well it mixes, how easy it is to drink on the move, the pleasant taste and the positive impact it appeared to have on my energy level. Time will tell but I'm very happy at the moment. The customer service was also very good, a personalised note is a lovely touch.
Monday, 3 July 2017 | Gail
This has been the best nutrition for me as I have a sensitive stomach and also struggling to chew when running. Sipping tailwind regularly throughout my runs help me hitting a low. The flavours are all so light, refreshing and easy to drink. I'm glad I found tailwind before my first Marathon and I'm now training for my 4th. Highly recommend!!
Monday, 3 July 2017 | John
Fantastic service, the hand written individual note shows great interest in the customer.
I've only used the product on one training session and it's ideal, no more gels and electrolytes, it's all in the one mix now. The drink was easy on my digestive system whereas the gels created some upset (and messy hands from opening sachets). Overall a fantastic product and great service, I'll be buying more!!
Monday, 3 July 2017 | Tom
Read all the reviews, listened to friends and took a gamble and used it for the first time on the Outlaw Holkham half ironman, had a gel on the bike and a gel on the run as I was concerned being totally reliant on something I'd not tried in training before. Honestly don't think I needed the gels, felt strong, felt fuelled, didn't run out of energy despite racing hard. That was no fluke. I'll continue to use Tailwind. Thankyou! 🏊🏼🚴🏽🏃🏼💨
Great product let down by packaging
Sunday, 2 July 2017 | Daniel
Just used Tailwind to fuel me through the Ultimate Trails 110k in a touch under 17hrs. Having used it in a few training runs to be safe, this was the first race I'd used it in and my longest race so far.
Tailwind accounted for probably 80% of my nutrition (think I used 10 stickpacks) supplemented with two initial 500ml of another sports drink, just a few gels (mainly for extra caffeine) and a couple of handfuls of checkpoint food. I didn't feel like I needed the food, it was just nice to have something solid and savoury.
After an initial psychological lull, I felt strong throughout and I really hope this was the Tailwind because I intend to keep on using it.
The naked flavour is too funny for my liking but the berry and orange are really good.
My only gripe is getting into the God-damed stick packs! Of the first 6, one opened ok. On two of them the starter tear in the packet didn't open the packet at all and the other three started to tear down the central seam (one went literally all the way down and I lost two thirds of the contents (it was a naked flavour so no great loss!))
I'd lost hope on the remaining four and just asked marshals to cut them open for me without even trying to tear them.
It's maybe a tad harsh to vote 4stars because of that because the product really is very good but after 14hrs of running I really don't want to be fighting and cursing with a plastic pack.
Would I recommend... absolutely! But pack some scissors too.
