If you missed the window this year, keep on sharing your love for Tailwind and be on the look out for ways to be involved over the coming year!

Hannah Pillbeam

Introducing the bright and bubbly Hannah Pilbeam who’s running journey so far has been terrible and wonderful. Nearly 3 years ago she started "running seriously" and went straight in at the deep end signing up for a Marathon. Now you’ll usually find Hann at home on the trails with her dog, Lola.

Helen Bull

The inspirational Helen, 41 years old from Sussex. She was a national level swimmer in her teenage years and also a county level cross country runner who has run the London Marathon. Dealing with a serious illness, she thought getting fit again would help her cope with the aggressive treatment.  After dipping her toes back in the pool, she began training seriously once more.

Helen Pickford

Helen started running about 10 years ago, the days before Parkrun, Strava, GPX signals and Tailwind probably existed.  Now an accomplished swimmer and regular on the ultra-podiums and with Tailwind at her side we’re pretty sure we’ll see a lot more this year!

Vikki Sivertsen

Runner, turned dualthlete, Vikki competed in the ‘Powerman’ long distance duathlon world championships in Zofingen, Switzerland and won her age group!  She even conquered a compulsory non wet suit swim and 2 rough sea triathlons last year despite admitting that swimming is not her strongest weapon.

Laura Swanton

Laura ran her first ultra in 2017 - The Jurassic Coast 100k and to her surprise was 1st lady and 3rd overall.  She then ran her first 100 miler later that year at the Centurion North Downs Way and came 3rd lady, deciding then to complete the Centurion Grand Slam last year (4 x 100 milers in a year) and came in first lady.

Gemma Scott

Gemma’s main discipline is running but she ventured into triathlon 18 months ago and hasn’t looked back.  2018 was a big year for her, discovering Tailwind and it’s changed her life literally. Performances have increased, and she has not been ill at the end of a race since, which is a blessing for her poor husband.

daznbone are runners and coaches Darren Strachan and David Bone.  They've competed in a diverse set of events, from classic big city marathons to niche ultras such as KACR and Spartathlon. Most of all though, they love the shared experiences their running has brought to them.

Oliver Ashley

In 2018 Oliver needed a challenge, so a friend suggested an Ironman event. At the time he couldn’t properly swim, bike for very long or run a 5k. After 9 months of training, learning to swim and losing 5 stone, Oliver completed a sprint distance triathlon two weeks before Weymouth and managed to come away as Southern Region champion!

Scott O’Neil

After starting doing 10ks a few years back, Scott found Obstacle Course Racing in 2016.  After his 1st Spartan race in 2016 he became hooked. He’s now done many events over the years in the UK and one in Europe. This year he completed the Spartan Trifecta in one weekend and raced at the Obstacle Course Racing World Championship.

Shaun Stewart

Shaun is a multi-sport athlete currently competing in single and multi-day adventure/trail running races throughout Ireland and Internationally. He lives in County Donegal, which is an adventure playground and perfect for long days out on the mountains. In 2018 he won the Irish National Adventure Race Series.

Lonan O’Farrell

Former footballer Lonan found Running and cycling were his way back from injuries and they always helped him maintain a high level of fitness.  Not realising until his late twenties how much he enjoyed the multisport training as well as the competition of racing.

Dai Davies

Dai sees himself as an endurance runner with a passion for using running to not only challenge himself but to support and encourage others in finding the joy of running. He completed his first marathon (London!) back in 2013 and has been running socially with others since 2017.

Dean Stringer

Dean Stringer aka @deanooo_tri has enjoyed running for many years and in 2017 bit the bullet and booked his first triathlon. Since then he's got the bug big time!! Completing his first Full Ironman in 2018 in 10hrs 40 with a sub 4hr Marathon.
In 2019 he wants to try and break his records.
His main love is the training, whether it be on his own cycling or with his wife and dogs running in the forest, It just can’t be beaten”
